Launch conference in Paris - France

Objectives The Launch Conference will be a highly visible event to convince new participants to the Initiative of the relevance of earth sciences for sustainable development, and to focus on improving the situation in African education.
Topics > Introduce the initiative to funders, partners and governments > Present the synthesis of findings from the scoping workshops held from late 2009 to early 2010 > Set out a strategy to strengthen Earth Sciences Education in Africa > Agree upon a plan of action with partners
Audience The Conference will be open to participants of the five regional workshops, other relevant experts, and key international stakeholders in the field of Earth Science Education in Africa: > Governmental authorities > Education and Research communities > International donors > Public and private investors, Consultants > NGOs
